This is a brief comment on the work by Alicia
Sirota: “The Oneiric
Self-Image: an Update”. In this work, the author goes back
to the elaboration
of a subject to which she has devoted
many of her previous works, one
of
them published twenty years ago
in Psicoanálisis, updated as to the
concepts developed by the work
under analysis. The main purpose
of this
comment is that of highlighting
the most relevant ideas of said
document,
its coincidences and differing
points with the Freudian conceptions
of
dreams. It is also the purpose
of this comment pointing out such
concepts
that can be regarded as original
contributions of the author to
the psychoanalytical
approach of oneiric life.
